On Monday 22 December 2025, His Grace Bishop Rewis, together with Very Rev Fr Daniel Ghabrial - Diocese Vicar-General, Very Rev Fr Abanoub Attalla, and Very Rev Fr Shenouda Boutros, paid a fraternal visit to His Grace Bishop Evmenios of the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Chora (Northcote District), to extend festive greetings and wish His Grace and his faithful a blessed Feast of the Nativity.
His Grace Bishop Evmenios, with great humility, love and generosity, warmly received our Diocesan Delegation. His Grace graciously toured the delegation around the grounds of the Cathedral of Our Lady Axion Estin in Northcote, before hosting a banquet lunch in honour of His Grace Bishop Rewis’ visit to the Diocese.
An exchange of gifts took place during the visit, symbolising the spirit of brotherhood and mutual respect between the two Dioceses. His Grace Bishop Rewis presented a Coptic icon depicting the Holy Nativity, while His Grace Bishop Evmenios graciously offered an Orthodox bishop’s pastoral staff.
Fruitful discussions were also held regarding opportunities for the two Dioceses to collaborate and work together in future pastoral and community initiatives.
We extend our sincere thanks to His Grace Bishop Evmenios for his warm hospitality and brotherly love, and we wish the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Chora and all its faithful a blessed and joyful Feast of the Nativity!
