On Tuesday 23 December 2025, His Grace Bishop Rewis, accompanied by Very Rev Fr Daniel Ghabrial, Diocese Vicar-General, and Very Rev Fr Shenouda Boutros, undertook a fraternal visit to The Most Reverend Archbishop Peter Comensoli of the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, to convey festive greetings and extend best wishes to His Excellency and the faithful on the blessed Feast of the Nativity.
His Excellency Archbishop Comensoli warmly welcomed the Diocesan delegation with genuine humility, kindness and warm love. During the meeting, His Excellency expressed a sincere interest in the life, growth and pastoral mission of our Diocese and the broader presence of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Australia. As a token of fraternal goodwill, His Grace Bishop Rewis presented His Excellency with a Coptic icon depicting the Holy Nativity.
Following the meeting, His Excellency graciously invited the Diocesan delegation to the balcony of the Archdiocese Headquarters, offering an opportunity to view St Patrick’s Cathedral, a significant spiritual and historical landmark of the Catholic Church in Melbourne.
We express our sincere gratitude to Archbishop Peter Comensoli for his generous warmth and brotherly spirit, and we extend our heartfelt wishes to the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne and all its faithful for a blessed and joyful Feast of the Nativity.
