Through God’s grace, His Grace Bishop Rewis was blessed to pray the Feast of the Nativity Divine Liturgy at St Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Kensington, Victoria, on the evening of Tuesday 6 January 2026.
As expressed in the Nativity Message of His Grace Bishop Rewis, this blessed feast marking the Birth of our Lord is a reminder to all that “He came and was incarnate because He loved us, to save us from the bondage of sin, and to unite with our nature so that we too may be united with His nature.”
During the occasion, His Grace had the opportunity to pray Matins in the English Service, followed by the Divine Liturgy in the combined English and Arabic Service.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency Mr Haitham Mokhtar, Consul-General, and His Excellency Mr Ahmad Raafat, Consul, of the Consulate of Egypt in Melbourne, for their gracious presence during the Liturgy and for their warm well wishes to our Diocese.
May this holy Feast of the Nativity bring abundant blessings, peace and renewed spiritual joy to our Diocese and all its faithful.
