Congratulatory Statement to His Grace Bishop Rewis on the Silver Jubilee of Monasticism and Fifth Anniversary of Episcopacy

The Christ-loving Clergy, Deacons, Servants, and faithful Congregation of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne offer their heartfelt congratulations to His Grace Bishop Rewis on the joyous occasion of his Silver Jubilee — the 25th anniversary of his monastic life and the 5th anniversary of his episcopal ordination.

His Grace entered the monastic life on 7 March 2001 at the Monastery of the Holy Virgin Mary (Muharraq Monastery) in Assiut, Egypt, dedicating himself to a life of prayer, service and spiritual devotion.

On 7 March 2021, His Grace was ordained as a General Bishop for East Asia by the blessed hands of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, marking the beginning of his episcopal ministry.

We also give thanks to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II for his fatherly shepherding of the Church and for appointing His Grace to serve our Diocese on 1 July 2025, marking a moment of great joy and blessing for the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Melbourne. The arrival of His Grace among us has been received with gratitude,  hope and joy as he continues to guide and nurture the flock entrusted to his care.

On this blessed milestone, we give thanks to God for the faithful shepherding of His Grace and for the love, care and attention he continually extends as General Bishop of our Diocese. We pray that the Lord may grant His Grace many more years of fruitful service, good health and peaceful times ahead as he continues to guide and nurture the flock entrusted to him.
