His Grace Bishop Suriel will be celebrating the Nativity Feast by conducting the prayers of the Divine Liturgy at St Mark’s Church in Preston. This will be on the Eve of the Feast, Tuesday 6th of January 2009. His Grace wishes blessed and happy New Year and a holy Feast of Nativity for all his beloved children of the Diocese of Melbourne.
The care and love of the Lord has surrounded our beloved father, His Grace Bishop Suriel, and the doctors have discharged His Grace from the hospital last Wednesday 17th of December. His Grace had suffered severe pain during the two weeks he was in hospital, as a result from complications after surgery that His Grace underwent, which resulted in another operation. During all this, His Grace Bishop Asheia was beside him and did not leave him. Also His Grace Bishop Daniel, the Bishop of Sydney, visited him twice. Some of the Priests from Sydney also visited His Grace. His Excellency, Mr. Mohammed Khairat, the General-Consul of Egypt, also visited His Grace. His loyal and loving children, the Priests and congregation of the diocese, lifted their hearts in prayer so the Lord will stretch His compassionate and healing hand. The Lord, to Him all glory and thanks, answered the prayers and granted His Grace healing. Epsajee offers our beloved father, His Grace Bishop Suriel, sincere well-wishes and we ask the Lord to continually grant him health, joy and peace. May the Lord keep his life for many long and peaceful years.
His Grace Bishop Suriel would be pleased to receive his children from the congregation who would like to visit and give His Grace their well-wishes on Sunday 21st December from 2-5 p.m. at the Diocese.
