His Grace Bishop Suriel attended and blessed the Sunday School Teachers General Meeting on last Saturday 15 Aug at The Dome. The meeting was attended by a great number of servant and most of the fathers the clergy. His Grace was the main speaker in the meeting, where he presented a very interesting and valuable lecture about “The Task of Christian Education” and how it is important for us, our families, and young generations to be well educated about our Christian faith and values; and how to implement this task in confronting the current and future challenges of the secular society. His Grace also spoke about St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Theological College, and how much it is necessary to bring up strong generations of Coptic Orthodox Christians who know their faith and can relate it to their children for future. His Grace explained that the college is offering different levels of study and wide range of units. His Grace also said that beginning from next year it will be compulsory for all existing and new teachers of youth and Sunday school to complete an Associate Diploma in Ministry. Special consideration for exemption may be given at the discretion of His Grace Bishop Suriel.
